I use a Ten Point Steddy Eddy, much easier to use. tuck it into your gut and its steady as a rock.

I LOVE my polecat bipod.
goes from kneeling to standing height. great for blinds. You install a quick detach swivel where the strap connects, and that's it!
when you want the bipod, you just drop the quick connect into the bipod, it clicks in, and you're ready for rock solid shooting. a firm tug, and they disconnect, keeping you free of clutter.

Horton knee rest
This knee rest also works in prone position for long range sniping as well as sitting position, for both rifle and muzzleloader. It weighs very little and when telescoped down to its smallest size fits quite nicely into a smaller backpack.I think it is a great multi-use tool.
