150 grain field tip to match boltcutter broadhead
I have decided to try the new excal boltcutter broadheads. I have had no trouble finding the broadhead. I can't find any 150 grain field points anywhere. Anyone know where to get them?

Not 150's......but close. I've got some 145's and I'm not recalling exactly where I got them..............it was either from 3 Rivers or an ebay store purchase. 11/32's dia. Try 3Rivers or ebay for 150grs if nothing else comes up.

Or buy some Aftershock Boosters. They weight 25 grains.

Since you can stack as many as you want on top of each other, either:
- Add 2, use 100Grain Field point
- Add 1, use 125Grain Field point

Guess I should have patented the idea when I thought of it a few years ago.Rage_A_Holic wrote:Or buy some Aftershock Boosters. They weight 25 grains.

I even had a forum member make a few of them out of different materials (brass, steel, aluminum) for me to try out. They work very well and are simple to use. I contacted a couple manufacturers at the time, but thet weren't interested.

I would like to try the GrizzSlick 1&1/4 broadheads, but they weigh only 100grains, and I prefer heavier weight.
Do these extenders really work? It would seem to me that they would have to be well made or they would risk mounting the broadhead at a tilted angle. I'm not happy about adding to the bolt length either.
Has anyone tried them?
Edit
I tried to post this as a fresh thread rather than derailing the present thread--sorry.
