O/ T Muzzle loader questions
We have to be careful using smokeless powder muzzle loaders in the Blackpowder season . ( I read and article in Woods and water ( a publication from Michigan ) The article stated it was illegal to use smokesless powder in that type of gun for use in the Blackpowder season . Could be the same here in Ontario.
A muzzleloader is a muzzleloader---------no matter what kind of powder it uses-------it is a one shot front stuffer-----------do not give any of our lawmakers even a hint of something to change-----------I really believe that there are people paid to think up all the absurd changes that are being made in every geographical location.
This is as nicely as I can put it--------if I expressed it the way I wanted to I would be barred forever !!!!!.------------Lon.

Just went and checked for Michigan DNR here is what I found :
Muzzleloading Deer Seasons
During the December muzzleloading seasons, muzzleloading deer hunters
can carry afield and use only a muzzleloading rifle, a muzzleloading shotgun,
or a black powder handgun loaded with black powder or a commercially
manufactured black powder substitute.
Just checked the Ontario MNR Regs
A muzzle-loader is a gun that is loaded through the muzzle.
A percussion muzzle-loading gun is considered to be loaded
if there is a charge of powder and a projectile in the barrel
and a percussion cap on the nipple. A flintlock muzzleloading
gun is considered to be loaded if there is a charge
of powder and a projectile in the barrel and the vent is
unplugged.
I think I would still want to check with a CO just to be on the safe side . It would be a good idea to check by Province or State just to make sure .

No need to check here in Ont. The first line of the regs says it all - loaded through the muzzle, no powder stipulation.Farmer wrote: Just checked the Ontario MNR Regs
