Storing your crossbow?
Any pros or cons to leaving your crossbow strung in the off season? Of course you should be shooting year round...but, what about if your not going to be shooting for a month or so.

Excalibur recomends taking the string off during the off season. I take mine off. That said my PSE vert bow, a compound, has been strung since new, 1990. My PSE compond cross bow has been strung since I got it, 2005.

Unless you are storing it in a place with extreme temperature fluctuations there will be no damage to the bow.
It will put unnecessary stress on a string though, the continuous strain will not do a string any good.
