07 ML buck mount back

Post by crazyfarmer »

Image

I just got the buck I took in ML season back a few weeks ago so I wanted to post a pic.. he's no gaint but a decent deer for around here. 10 scorable pts and 20inch spread. He comes from a lucky stand in which I have 3 on the wall bigger than him and none were farther than 15 yards when taken :D

also, its a post in here about stand height and if it matters this stand is only 11ft up the tree :D I only hunt the spot 4-5 times every year also

anyway, here is the photo.. can wait to see what comes along this season which isnt far off :D

Thats a Great buck Crazy!!! Image

Too bad he would have only been scored as an 8 point in the forum buck contest last year. Image
Thats why I got so upset Last year when 5 points was deducted from Sax's 9 point.
OBTW TEAM FLORIDA KICKED SOME YANKEE BUT!!!!

Great Buck with a LOT of character! Love the kicker on the right antler and if my old eyes serve me, I believe I see a couple of little stickers on the left.

thanks everyone and sorry ive been away from the forum.. its been busy on the farm here the past month.

FL, I know but I do see the reason behind the madness LOL. Some like to count every little spur around the base as points and its amazing how many 20pt bucks here are really 7 pt's LOL. But to score, its gotta be longer than the base of that point or 1 inch. Maybe this season we can do that or just have extra pts added for anything over 8 maybe? Its all fun though and we woulda kicked some FL butt if our other teammember didnt vanish LMAO... btw, last time I checked Va was a southern state to :P :D HAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA

Mike, thanks man.. he's no gaint.. no 150incher.. I can only get 130 max from him and thats stretching the tape. His best features are the stickers and his base is 6inches and the bur of the base is 7.5inches so he's got mass.. biggest downers are the short tines and brows. Its no way I could let him walk since when dog season came in someone would have downed him. Ive gotta build a trophy room now cause the wife said this is enough for the wall LOL.. 6 wall mounts so far

anyway, thanks everyone and hopefully everyone has goodluck this season

I have to agree with Dick . . .beautiful mount. I like the way he is turned, the look in his eyes and the ears. I've seen that look a lot out in the woods. I just haven't seen those horns.

Good picture too!
