So far I am really impressed with these things. :)

While Globalstar's sat-phone service sucks big time (how's that for an understatement?? ;) ) these little tracking and simple messaging units work like a hot damn! Anyone who gets one should also "splurge" and activate them with the tracking option.


For a hunter who goes on solo treks these may well save your life or at least the searchers will know where to look for the body.

I do not see it available in the United States.

Here is a screen shot of a SPOT email message that the unit sends out every 10 - 15 minutes when in tracking mode.
