question on the STS...........

Post by bob1961 »

i just got my STS and there are two coils of sticky string that's the size of dental floss....are they some sort of thread lock, nothing was said bout them in the paper work it came with....i noticed they use the same holes on the riser that groundpounders quiver mount uses that i'll be getting soon, it looks like i can run the screw from the bottom of the STS block through the riser then into the quiver mount threads..........bob

The string is to use as serving where the string contacts the pads.
(Don't feel bad, I tried it on the threads, then threw it away. )

Ya. I called them and it was like wabi said what it was for.
But they also said you don't really need it.

From what I've read, you can use both the STS and GP quiver mount via the same holes, however , you may have to do some creative nut and bolt shopping, lol. The strings w/ STS we all toss in the round file are serving extensions.
