Hi Benu,
Welcome to a world of fun.
As you spend time afield in the area, you'll find out about hunting opportunities pretty quick. Meet those other hunters, talk to guys in the small towns, stop and talk to the guys on the side of the road, ask your friends, or your wife's, drive down some farm laneways and talk to the farmers, hook up with some other guys. That's usually how it works, and you'll have your own hot spots....Who is Linda and what does she advise?
Around here for sure the Marlborough Forest. Lots of land there that's not heavily used. Some hunt the NE portion. That's where I started and took the biggest bow buck of my life. Do an internet search, get the maps from City Hall, (yes it's now owned by the city of Ottawa) the city buys new land there all the time and you can find these acquisitions on the web too.
Also check out and go see WMU66.
And get the MNR Eastern Ontario Outdoor Recreation and Resource map.
Good luck.
