limbsavers
where do you guys get the limbsavers to make these homemade sts systems. i've been to just about every sports store in my area and nobody knows what i am talking about. are they just a U.S thing? not having any luck any help is appreciated.
I found mine in a 50% off box at the archery shop. I'm only seeing the self-adhesive kinds on the rack now. Look for the ones with the screw on backs. I believe mine said "Ultra Hoyt Split LimbSaver" and was in a red package.

LS 3412 or 3422
I made mine with a aluminum L bracket instead of steel, then drilled and tapped it to the bottom of the riser to attach bracket with a couple of small screws to save weight compared to using a heavy bolt through attachment.
Remember, measure twice and drill once.
Nice and light, inexpensive, and it works.

I use a V-Bar absorber made by one of our members.
It is heavier that the sts or others but has 4 contact points and has saved my bow during dry fires
Follow this link and select Special Equipments

Good stuff

Made bracket and mounted my Limbsavers STS today. I used steel
L-brackets. Mounted with the screws that came with my Groundpounder quiver bracket. Going to try it out later this afternoon when the wind dies down some. I stole the design from Summer. Thanks Summer.
