Hey Sumner, that racist obama joke wasnt funny. Just wasnt. Not because it was racist, just because it wasnt funny.

And jh, when you start referring to black people as "they", that is the definition of racism. You sir, are a racist.

Maybe you're not aware of this, but 'black people' isn't a recognized demographic - my bet is there is a much stronger correlation between economic status in the prison population then race, alone.

"they" = racism

Swish . . .only part I didn't think was funny about the Obama joke was the reference to having to start working for a living, that was unfair because he is actually working hard at the opportunity presented to him. If you don't think Obama isn't full of bs, then you just don't know Obama well enough. By the way, you can probably replace Obama with just about any of those "leaders" and the joke is funny.

I just looked up they in the dictionary . . .jh45 is correct. You are the racist, anybody that immediately thinks some innocent reference is a racial slur is a racist. Look it up.

See how easy that is to convert? That's why you just need to stick to the issues and stop poking personal attacks. The problem is . . .you have run out of ways to debate your side of the issue and win . . .therefore you resort to personal attack. Oldest trick in the book.

One other thing . . . you are simply wrong on the demographic thing.

That is nonsensical. Racial slurs are racist! How can i be a racist for pointing out when someone is actually being racist? that's the most circular logic i've ever heard!

Personal attacks? what? you guys were being racists, i pointed it out

Racism - "a belief ... that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement"

Looked it up, still cant see how i'm a racist AND its even more apparent that what jh was saying about black people IS racist.

And about the demographic thing, its just as ridiculous as talking about "white people" as a group.

Swish . . .by your definition alone, there is no way you can say I made racist remarks. Just because I post a joke about a black man doesn't mean I hate black people. I posted a joke yesterday about the mighty whitey and I didn't hear you say anything about me being racist because of that. Why not?

"Racism, by its simplest definition, is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. People with racist beliefs might hate certain groups of people according to their racial groups."

I do not think Obama is the best man for the job mainly because of his spending programs. However, I have a list of things I don't like about him . . .being black is not on the list. There could probably be a darn good arguement made that he isn't black, by the way.

Look up divorce rates and you will see demographics based on black and white folks. There are several others like heart disease.

Now, Obama's camp has made several references to race. McCain's camp has not. Is this considered playing the race card? We allow "Miss Black America", isn't that racist? We have several "Black only organizations" . . .several of these organizational members will tell you straight out that they hate the white man. Isn't that harboring racism? I think the people pointing the finger are the true racists . . .they are looking for it. You see and hear way more racist comments by the "self claimed" victims than you do from the people they hate. So, see where I'm coming from? Does that make sense? Or am I over the edge?

You may be right about the circular thing. We have come almost full circle with the race issue.

Ahh, racism.

It is estimated that as many as 30 million whites will vote for Obama in the upcoming election. It is also estimated that 98% of blacks will vote for Obama.

Where is the racism in that statistic? Is there any?

Yah "45" I get a chuckle out of some of the things that different people do to get noticed also. Incredible, but we can never judge another until we have spent a day in their shoes. It's just a fact of life that we have to face.
WE ARE DIFFERENT - That doesn't make one better or worse than the other unless the "other" harms or encumbers another. I took Ethics in college and in Kantian Ethics if we can will our actions to be universally accepted by all then it is "morally right". We should strive to be "right" as much as possible.
I was just kidding you fellers about Lester Maddox ax handles and George Wallace. I know you're not that bad. LOL Funny thing... I used to know George Wallace and his wife Lorleen. They came into ABC News in Washington when I worked there as an engineer. Geo. Wallace traveled with a State Police escort of about 10 or 12 cars full of troopers. Quite a guy!
Enough said....

LOL PS I keep a nice ax handle behind my seat in my van. Rather use that than shoot a guy - you know the liability issues these days. Just leave a good lump on the head and yah be ok legally - maybe.

Thank you Sumner and 45 for the information you provided. I forwarded the video and Ann Coultars letter to every one I know and urged them to forward that material to others on their email list. Unfortunately, the ignorant will probably decide this election.
