Looks like a pcp (pre charged pneumatic) aeroforce. A while back i researched pcp's after reading an article about folks useing 50 cal. airguns with 3000 lbs. of air press. to kill even buffalo--many use them for deer because they fall under the caregory of muzzle loaders in some states. Crossman is the first US manufacturor to come out with one earlier this year i believe. Boy am i jealous :)

Sounds like a 22 rimfire going off. They also have a Talon SS which is a slower moderated version but it is prohibited here in Canada.

Neat! Old concept, Lewis and Clark carried one on Expedition in 1803-06. Google Giradoni for some neat reading on 17th century pcp's.
