Not exactly a stellar start but a good laugh none the less..
Hello everyone...
I have only been able to get out for one afternoon hunt (Friday) since the season opener due to work and my minor hockey coaching obligations.
On Friday afternoon I snuck out early and headed to the one property between North Dumfries and Ayr and set up my blind along a natural funnel. I have never hunted deer from a blind before but in this area there are no trees suitable for my climber. I arrived at the property and started arranging my gear when I noticed that I had forgotten to bring a piece of equipment.... ......Can you guess what??
Well, Im sure I looked like an idiot becuase for some reason I got the biggest laugh out of my "new" look~!
The evening ended with a doe and a fawn coming through the funnel and just as I thought I had a tag filled the wind must of swirled and the pair trotted back from where they came.....Maybe they smelled my feet??
Cheers,
Robin

All the more humour the better I figure to keep the set it cost me a heck of a down payment and a monthly rental fee as well.....Hipwader wrote:Good one...I thought maybe the ex got your boots too...just a little divorce humour my friend nothing serious here...

Some things you just need to keep to yourself . . . I think this qualifies.
I am always second guessing . . .I stopped on interstate 75 the other morning, half way to the property to see if I had arrows. I'm sure everyone thought I was about to blow something up.

I'd rather wear out than rust out.

I had my skates in the truck and in about another month or so I would have looked like I belonged on a game show as that would have been a better alternative which was turning around~!wabi wrote:And I was going to guess your quiver.
I seldom wear more than moccasins on my feet, so the sandals looked perfectly acceptable.
