screws on scope mount

Post by mchurch »

I stripped some of the screws(the hex part) on the excal sope mount. Does anyone know the size so I can get more at the hardware store? I am referring to the screws on the rings.......Thanks

Hmmm, steel screw, aluminum "nut", bet your problem is a stripped hole vs stripped screw. Those ring screws don't need much torque, I've never had any come loose in 45 yrs of using them. Fwiw.
