Just doing a test post to see if I could get the pict. thing down--I do anticipate posting some deer pics. in near future--here is one of the local inhabitants on a summer stroll--It is a cane-break rattler i came upon on a fishing trip--we just talked and went our seperate ways
I believe it is from Texas .I do know that they do get that big down there . My most frightening moment with a snake was up on the Bruce Peninsula ,when went to go relieve myself wearing only my wetsuit .Stepped over a log and there it was buzzing like a bumble bee . Amazing after that I didn`t have to go.
That big un looks like good eating. I've been thinking about killing the next big one I see and taking it to the taxidermist. I've seen some giants here in Virginia that were as big around as my leg. I guess when they're that big they can eat squirels and rabbits. I wonder how you can kill one without putting a hole in it and messing up the hide or head.
hey country try putting him in a bucket and then in the freezer. they curl up before they expire and then are fairly stackable in the freezer. so says an aquaintence from sweetwater tx.

are you talking about putting him in the freezer dead or alive??
That's a good idea about the freezer. Got to make me up a snake pole so I can grab ahold of em. I guess I should leave a note on top of the freezer for the wife although Im not sure about the mother in law. For anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of eating a rattler, they're very good. Sort of tastes like frog legs.
