I'm having my breakfast and coffee and going
I went back last night with lights but couldn't find him. It;s REAL thick in there.

I'm dissappointed in my fellow clubmembers
I went to the clubhouse and put a note under my pin that I had a deer down and when I left everyone had signed out and did not come help.
There is no way they didn't see the note.

Best of luck and Hope for no rain to wash your last blood location away.

Looks like you'll have to start doing circles from your last blood, there's always a little splatter or drop somewhere to pick up on within 3-4 metres, check inside tracks, check leaves, twigs etc.. tracking is some of the funnest part of the hunt I think.

good luck, otherwise think of it positively ...you'll be hunting coyotes soon,

If you can't track it, take a deer hound after it, Sax!

GOOD NEWS
Deer recovered.

I have been out since early this morning but I found him
I hit him to far back cought the back of one lung and the paunch.
He went 300 yards, felt like he was only dead a few hours when I found him.
He went to water and thick woods
He is a 5 point.
I will post pic's later.I got the horns,Backstraps and hams out untill I could walk no more.

Great job on the recovery! Every hunter should have as much determination to follow up their shots.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!

Well done Scott!!

Your freezer is going to be full before I even get to shoot an arrow at a deer.

PS Yeah, I'd be a bit disappointed in my fellow club members too....
