Boo i haven't fooled with bears much. caught a blackie in a trap once and brought him home in the truck of a 50 plymouth when i was 8. my Pa took 2 browie's big ones on Kodiak Island when he was in the Navy up there.

Pretty amazing to think some guys would stick one of those with an arrow!

we don't have anything near that size hear but the black bears we do have we hunt with bows. we also moose hunt with crossbows

Those pics are done up on adobe acrobat. I saw the exact, exact same ones last year but with different guys in them. One of the guys at work is a wiz with adobe, and he took one of my black bear pics and made the bear look to weigh about 1500 lbs.

Polar bears go 1800lbs, then it's Kodiaks at 1500lbs then coastal browns at 1100lbs. The one in the pic looks like it should be 2000lbs.

Of course, I'm with you guys, if I'm hunting a bear I'll start with my .338 and go up from there according to the size of bear!
