Hi to all again!
After a busy several months of this and that I took time to sit down and try to catch up on what is happening on the forum. Sorry to hear of some of the sad things that have happened and glad to hear of the joyful events. My best support goes out to all.
Have just returned last night in the rain from a deer hunting week in the Bruce Peninsula. My good hunting partner was the sharp shooter to take a very fine buck. The weather this last week was very very warm but we were able to cool out the carcass very well. Plan to butcher it tomorrow. He and myself are great advocates of the slug gun and again it did the job.
Prior to this last week I had a week at home for preparation. It was a reorganizing session after 3 weeks in northern Ontario moose hunting - 1 week alone and the second week with 2 hunting friends and the third week with another friend. All of this time was spent in a Prospector tent in the bush. In the 2 years that I have had it and the argo, they have provided a great way to spend time away from the day to day routines. Moose hunt was not successful. Not sure why and have no answers. Weather was also warmer than normal but all of the hunters that I encountered were having the same experience - no moose seen. Plan to concentrate my efforts now on archery for deer hoping my daughter can find time to accompany me as well.
Wishing all the best success for everyone in their hunting endeavours for the remainder of 2008

Hey there! Good to see you here again! We were wondering what had happened to you.

Best of luck to you and your daughter in bagging archery deer!

Now that sounds like a great hunt! One of the best vacations I ever had was time spent just like that and the week alone was fantastic as I love solitude.

Most places had very warm weather this past week. Back to reality now!
Keep smiling!
