I went to the bar last night with a few friends as the DD. On my way home, at 2AM, I spotted a very LARGE buck. It looked to be somewhere between an 8 and a 10 point. It was a magnificent sight to see, but unfortunately, I was unable to slow down or move in time to avoid masacre. The victim... my 2009 Hyundai Tucson. The real kicker is that after I hit it at 90 kmph, crushing the front of my SUV, and rolling up and over the top, it still managed to walk away. Spent an hour with the police searching the fields with spot lights, and another two hours this morning, we found little more than a few tufts of hair. Not even one drop of blood. At the very least, the stupid thing could've left me the rack.
Also just wondering if anyone has any insight, should my airbags have gone off?

I'm glad that the buck wasn't the only one able to walk away from that accident! That's NASTY! Am glad you're ok!

The deer should be easy to spot. It'll be the only one wandering around Ontario with a back end that looks like a front end.
I don't know how car insurance works in Canada, but here in the US collisions with wildlife are usually covered by the insurance policy without affecting your premiums.
By the way, has your mechanic given you a repair estimate? Glad nobody was hurt, that's for sure!
well seems your vehicle is shot. the deer should be easy to identify. his rump should be only 1 foot from his front shoulders and it probably will be walking pigeon toed! glad your ok
