Sucks when you LOVE to hunt and you got to work 40 plus hours a week. I dream every day when im at work of the weekend am i going to get that big one finally or just sit all day and see nothing or take that nice little doe for the frezzer. Even if i dont see anything its better than work then the weekend finally gets here its friday just got off work and cant wait for saturday morning to get out in my stand and i get up the rain is comeing down in buckets and the wind is blowing 25 mph + I know the rut has been going on here for a good week or so and it really sucks for an ordinary guy who loves to hunt but cant

Man, at least you get weekends off!
Think about all those poor saps like me who work in archery/hunting stores, surrounded by millions of dollars worth of neat hunting toys, who have to work on weekends and evenings to supply all the hunters who SHOULD HAVE bought and tested all their supplies in the summer time, and scouted and set up treestands in likely spots, but no, they have to wait until the last minute to buy bows, treestands, camo clothing, and oh, I need to sight in my bow in your range - I'm going hunting in the morning....
Then you have to listen to their stories about why they missed their buck-of-a-lifetime, or made a bad hit (oh was I supposed to sight-in with my broadheads too?) and couldn't track it, and why it's not their fault but the fault of the equipment that failed on them, and you just want to take their hunting licenses away from them and rip them up right on the spot and tell them to come back next year after they've prepared properly...

I hear ya.This is the first year in the 22 years that I've worked in a factory that I've been able to spend alot of time in the woods during the rut.But on the bright side a least your working,I've only been getting to work three days a week for a month and four days since May.Keep your chin up and when you do get out make the most of it.I think the best hunting is yet to come when it comes to seeing mature deer.
