I love to get out the last few days of the year and hunt and that means cold weather hunting but like others have said hunting over food plots that time of year is magic!!dress warm with layers and bring those hot shot hand warmers and put them in your boots(my tip)for staying out there longer

The best part of the late season is the snow! Snow makes stalking really quiet. Snow tells you what happened earlier. Snow shows tracks of active animals. Show shows blood better. Snow is your friend! Late season is good!

Deer seem to stand out better when theres a nice blanket of snow too, your more likely to see them working their way to you sooner than you would without snow. Ive seen alot of nice bucks standing over my bait piles when there was snow that ive never seen without the white stuff. Dress to be warm, than re-dress to be warmer. you wont regret it.

I found the key to me hunting in the cold is good boots. Gloves, neck gater and beanie cap also help alot. Mainly my feet though, if my feet stay warm I am good to go. The 1000-1200 gram rubber boots seem to work the best for me.

Although it was difficult, special the night before was snowing. Driving was bad.

My car got stucked in the snow, not a four wheel drive. Another hunter, Doug, kindly helped me to pull my car out with his truck. many many thanks to him! Great hunter virtue!

I got busted again. At 50 yards, a big doe saw me, because I am trying to ease my back from the tree.

my bow was 45 degree. I stop and she stop. She can persist! For 15 minutes she keep looking at me. God....... my bow begin to feel heavy. I start counting numbers to keep myself up. Didn't help.

At the end, I lower the bow a little, slowly. but it turn back and walk away.

Yeah, but I've guided some northern deer hunters when it was about 95 F and 80 percent humidity. Never heard such a bunch of lightweights! The moaning and groaning ... 8)

It's all relative. :D :D

I was out this morning. My truck said -14C for you south of the border that is 6F and that doesnt calculate wind chill! I will hunt all the way up to the 31st of Dec. Invest in some good clothes educate yourself on which fabrics are the right ones for you!

I built this cold-weather box stand last summer. It's heated, too! :D
