I Shot ( UPDATE )

Post by wildwindom »

A doe tonight arrow totally covered in blood found air bubbles in the big spots of blood but couldnt find her so i back out going back in the morning to search. I know i got a great shot the only thing i can think of is i only got one lung will update tomorrow.

UPDATE
Well me my brother his dog and a good friend went out for about three hours today 9am till about 12 found more blood more blood puddles of blood drops of blood then more big puddles of blood then drops and we found nothing. We found blood last night with bubbles in it so i know i got lung and i found blood today that looked like it was gut shot found bits of corn in it i shot this deer at 15 yards with my 200 lb vortex and didnt get a complete pass thru. When i shot her she ran about 25 yards behind me and i could see the arrow hanging in between her back legs i dont know what i hit for the bolt to do that i aimed right behind the front shoulder and i was only about 12 feet in the air so your guess is as good as mine

Your description brings several questions to mind.
*What kind of broadhead were you using.
*What was her position when you shot? (broadside, quartering toward you, quartering away)
*What was her reaction when the arrow hit?

try going back and sit in the same spot and take another look. sounds to me like you hit a branch with your arrow or did 1 of your limbs hit something .she sounds like she was close enough you could of just pointed and had a good hit
