OK Bowster, now Vix has peaked my curiosity. What did you get for coyote medicine? Do You have photos?
My coyote medicine is a Remington 788 lefty in 6mm Rem. with a 6-24 scope.

A Savage 93FV .22 mag is on the way to the range in about an hour.

I'm hoping the old yotes haven't built up any defence to this treatment.

Nice choice in rifle. I have two savage rifles one in .17 hmr and a .243 I picked up for my daughter. Both great shooters. Very good deal for the money.

Headed to the range with Bowster yesterday with the new Savage and I took my Remington 597 semi in 22 Mag. They were both shooting excellent at 100 yds.
Need to go back again this time with my Remington 700 in 223 and sight in my new scope. A Bushnell Elite 3200 in 3-10X40.
Look out coyotes!!

22mag target fun...

Post by Bowster »

Took the Savage out again for some more target shooting on Sunday. Quite windy but still impressed.

I topped it with a fixed 4 x 32 Bell scope and still shooting with no adjustments since bore sighted. Tried the Winchester 40 gn JHP, 45 gn Dynapoint, Remington 33 gn high velocity and CCI maximag 40 gn.

Its a toss up between the CCI and Winchester 40 gn. The Remington shot nice but are double the cost.

I'm going to try a 3-9 x 40 on it. 100 yd shots are tough with the 4x.
