Arrow Weight

Post by vixenmaster »

i remember back when i used to shoot a recurve & compound Bows. with a 28" draw length & 2216 arrows 29" long my weight was above 500 gr in fact i think it was more like 550-560 gr. now i use as most of you CB's.
seems everyone uses light arrows because the main reason is trajectory. personally i like my heavier weight arrows & trajectory out to my hunting range of 30 yds. is a moot pt. its all about being comfortable and knowing how far your game is from you. i seldom get fooled about yardage out to 40 yds. i reckon shooting all kinds of Bows for 50 years has abit to do with it. i don't use a range finder other than my brain. even my vixen shoots fast enough using 650 gr arrows that any game 30 yds and less is almost on the gambrel.
