1993 exocet and spare time

Post by roland »

Image With some spare time on my hands I did a little work on my bow. First I made shims to put under the limbs and moved the riser out 3/4 of a inch for more pull, thanks to Enormous for the infor on this, then I thought I might make a wood stock for it. It turned out not bad so I will give it a try. All I have to do is put a finish on it and the trigger guard.

That stock looks just awesome Roland. You have some talent there! Are you going to leave the riser and extension block the same or paint them to match the mainframe/rail and custom stock?

Very, Very nice!
Are those Peter Jacksons what you launch out of it? What kind of groupings do you get with them?

Great looking work! I do have one question on it though not to be critical but curious. Do you use the rope cocker? My "Mark's" wooden stock has a notch in the back just below the safety where the rope cocker can pass through to keep it in place.

I am going to put the groove in the back with a chainsaw file, just haven't got there yet. It has a few imperfections in it that I know of. I work in a large lumber mill so I will keep my eyes open as I grade maple and I might try one more with a piece of curly maple. That one is walnut.
