Good on you Vix! Your mission is just.
There are a number of easy actions one can take to introduce the un-initiated to the benefits of outdoor pursuits such as ours.
A couple of my son's friends are interested in hunting, so I'm going to be their happy mentor this year.
Last fall I contacted food columnists at local papers and offered them free organic wild venison.
Give a couple of steaks or a roast to the un-initiated. Some of my neighbours now plan special holiday meals around the venison roast.
Not one complaint about hunting from any of them or their guests.
Speak out and speak up. If there is an issue, an opinion, a poll or an aritcle, add your wisdom.
Ever thought of a bumper sticker?
And Welome Laura!!! I'm impressed with your C.V. !

Nice work VIX
You are a fine example to all of us that we are all ambassador's to the sport of shooting/hunting wherever we go.
It is very cool that your friend began her experience feeling apprehensive about shooting and guns, and ended her adventure in a very positive manner. You did a wonderful job by making her feel welcome.
Firearms are tools, like a hammer or a chainsaw or a half ton truck. If used recklessly and without respect, someone can be hurt. That doesn't make the "tool" evil or wrong - same goes with a firearm.
Nice work, Vix. All here are proud of you!

I agree with Mike P. - It has to start with the person who takes the time to show people who are not use to guns or have not been around them. Thanks Vix for stepping up, more of us need to do the same. It may be uncomfortable but as you can see in this case you definity changed her mind.
Life goes by quick - so don't think about going hunting - get out there and DO IT!
