Reasonably priced spring bear hunts?

Post by Rocketman »

I was wondering if anyone knows of a guide or outfitter in Canada that offers a good bear hunt for under $1000? I've been going up for a couple years now and the price 5 years ago used to be $975 per hunter has gradually climbed to Nearly $2000. I know fuel prices helped to increase the price. I would like to go every year but sometimes I just can't swing it. Does anyone know a good outfitter with reasonable rates? Some are charging as high as $4700, I'm sure it's a good hunt but I can't afford that.

 That sounds mighty cheap to me! Stateside bear hunts (of any quality) don't go for that low! Not that I know of, anyway!

Hope you find something that suits! :D

Also keep in mind that if prices quoted are in Canadian dollars then you can pickup over 20% value.

Terrym, Is that the outfitters phone number at the bottom? I clicked on the bottom link with all the bear pictures and a phone number to the right of the last picture. I remember when Ontario spring bear hunting was allowed the hunts used to be alot cheaper,of course that was probably 8 years ago.

Yes that is Shane's phone number. His outfit routinely takes some nice sized bears.
