I shot one last year and the only problem I had was that I found it didn't taste as good as the males. It was probably the way I prepared and cooked it though.

I would do the same this year to make sure it was my cooking and not the bird!!!

TO SHOOT OR NOT TO SHOOT :?:

FIRST YOU HAVE TO DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO MOUNT HER :?:
OR DECIDE IF YOUR GOING TO EAT HER

for me its just a personal choice not to shoot one,but would not bother me at all if anyone else would.im just trying to get one of those big toms like my record bird i shot/i mesure it,weighted it,and cut it up,not knowing it was the biggest turkey ever shot with a bow in michigan.now im trying to top that big bird, and will be real hard.the tom i seen last year i think would have been real close to it,JIM

In the spring season I would let her walk, just in case she has a nest. In the fall season BOOM
