Cleared the memory card today ...

Post by R.J. »

Started with the " Sunset Doe " ( that I previously posted )

Image

Then some misc pic's
from this weekend , starting Friday , when myself RS , RH and Sandman did the turkey scouting rounds and relocated a deer stand as well ...

( quality isn't the greatest , since many were at 800 ISO + full zoom and some where with my cheap pocket camera ... but all in all they do represent a photo log of some of the sights we saw on our travels )

Starting to see some more consistent strutting activity from farm to farm , although the birds seem real spooky !

Image

A couple of running toms that we saw at either end of one of the farms we hunt ...

Image

Image

As we drove home Friday night , I had to stop the truck , get out and snap a frame with my cheap pocket camera to capture the awsome colors of the cloudy horizon as it was reflected in the water of a local pond ...

Image

Near dusk on Saturday , I watched some deer in the distance coming out of the ridge line ...

Image

This doe was starting to feed into the field ... she had me pegged right away when I tried to get closer for a shot ....

Image

Image

I did get some cool frames as she jumped back across the fence ...

Image

Image

See the other smaller does face in the bottom LH corner of this frame , as the lead doe jumps back into the cover ..

Image

Cool jump shot !!

Image

The last frames off the memory card today were from approx 8:15 this morning .... A boss toms strutting at the back of the farm ...

Good luck to all , as you scout this week , in preperation of the up coming Ontario Turkey opener ! ...
