Pimped my favorite shotgun..

Post by Pydpiper »

It was my first gun, a 870 combo. Turkey barrel and a cantilevered rifeled barrel..
I have always liked shooting it but after seeing the one on this forum with the pistol grip, then shooting Boo's new turkey gun I jumped at the first opportunity to buy a new stock and forearm for my gun.
I seen it on the wall and was sure it couldn't match my gun perfectly, so my daughter and I went home grabbed my 870 and headed back to match it up, it was perfect!
For $100 I feel like I got a whole new gun, it fits very well with the long barrel, and now I am looking forward to slapping on the rifled barrel and maybe, just maybe, applying for a shotgun tag.

looks good Pydpiper, You can make an old gun new to regain interest in it again as I did with my old 303. Got it all lined up at 100 yards and going to take it out deer hunting this fall. Have to show wifey that it was worth the $160 to look good. LOL Why look old school when you can look new?
Got a long way to go to make up for wifes new $6000. Janome sewing machine. :) :)

It came from Triggers and Bows in Burford (Brantford).

LOL Bet you would have a better chance of getting something embroidered than me! I was only good for buying 400 dollars worth of thread for that

I've shot mine three times since I restocked it. Twice at turkeys.

The recoil pad on this stock is MUCH better than the original.

Shooting turkey magnum loads or slugs we need all the help we can get..

I am pretty sure the recoil pad is the same as the one on the factory stock, but, I also recall having my recoil pad upgraded at the time of purchase.
I can see the pistol grip also helping with recoil, letting the arm take some of the impact.
I will find out later today, I am getting very curious. :D

My wife said "why don't you just go out back and shoot it, your arm is going to be even more sore from carrying it around the house all day"
I guess she noticed.. :D
