A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

No I SHOT him, Griz. And that was a skinny 26 lbs. His wing tips were worn down from drumming and parts of his 12" beard was broken off, presumably from stepping on it while mounting. He had a sizable callus on his breast from roosting on limbs. He stunk much like a boar pig while cooking ( if you're a country boy, you know what I mean). Trophy, he was; good eatin'...not so much. Cooked the thigh for 24 hrs in a crock pot....before I tossed it. Ground the rest and made passable jerky. When I get a hankerin' for turkey eats, it's got to have a plastic handle attached to it before I spend all that time and energy cookin' it.

I'm not all that fired up about Wild Turkey myself.
Always preferred Jim Beam, back when I drank the stuff!
Grizz
You be full of spunk this mornin' Griz! Don't drink much of the stuff myself, only when alone or with someone.
BTW, did you know that not drinking, or eating fatty foods and exercising at least 40 minutes per day will cause one to live an average of 8 months longer.......in a nursing home, paying $3,500 per month?
