I can't imagine what it would be like to be dragged around by a bear.

He's keeping his Louisville Slugger by the door now?!?!? I know what I would be keeping by the door instead!

Canceling Ontario's spring bear season was one of the biggest mistakes ever made in game management.

Because it goes against everything that city is trying to brainwash their citizens with, remember, there is no practical use for a firearm. They are made to kill people only.

This incident backs up what I've said on this forum many times:

Bears are always a threat!

I live in an area with a very high bear population. They're part of our life, and interactions with them are common ... but I'm here to tell you:

Black bears are not to be trusted!

They're all individuals. You don't know what they're going to do. You cannot count on them being "shy" and retreating when they encounter you, or you them.

Don't take chances with them! View them as the danger they are, and be cautious around them ... or it might cost you!

I love the wildness that makes our bear population possible, but I'm always aware of their presence, and try to be proactive.

Carelessness will get you into trouble.

I live out too. After bears destroyed my bird feeding stations two years running, my Louisville slugger is in Ruger Single Six, 45 Colt caliber, with a stiff charge of powder and 250 gr hard cast bullets.

Bear are not the cute cuddly creatures the disney folks make them out to be . That fellow got off pretty lucky .

The area this fellow was attacked is the area I have hunted bear the last 3 years . There has been a few very aggressive Boars other hunters have encountered that did not run off when yelled at . Be around them for a while and you will get a very healthy respect for them .
