maintenance

Post by 7magman »

just wondering what do i do about the wax buildup on the slide ? i was thinking it should be kept to a minimum, but being new to this i'm not sure. also my string is slapping the front end of the limb brace. is that normal? appreciate any and all input.

I use 91% alchohol on my rail for wax build up.
Check your brace height for the string slap, might be to short and get yourself an NGSS system from NewGuy on the forum.

It will fix that problem and associated string damage.

I don't lube the rail either.

I think not dirty and gunky = slippery enough! :D

ive always sprayed silicone spray on mine and wiped dry.. no ill side effects that ive seen in 4 years of use :D

that way all the dirt keeps off the rail when going in and out of the woods

I think that's the key ... dry one way or the other, so nothing sticks to the rail surface! :D

I clean mine with just a touch of WD-40 and wipe it dry.
