you would be surprised how many of your finest of the law have safety issues also LOL :P When we had firearms training quite a few never could keep their finger off the trigger when they werent on target. I just new someone was bound to have the same result as those pics above :P

When I was a City Police Officer I worked several shootings. The power of the old 45 cant be denied. Out of the 4 or 5 dozen shootings where I was the responding officer all the subjects shot with the grand ole round bought the farm.

The hole is way to clean for a shotgun blast. Even one right out of the muzzle.

Looks like it basically went between the toes taking a good sized chunk of meat with it. See the big toe bone. If he had dead centered the big toe he would have lost it for sure.

Thanks for sharing Woody. Sorry for the wound but it looks like you were pretty lucky. One through the arch could have crippled you for LIFE. Please give us details on what happened. Kind of gun, how it actually happened (eg cocked and locked carry), what learned to do differently, etc. May be very helpful to prevent the same form happening to other

there's no way that could be a shot gun hole, as woody said its too clean. he would have lost a toe or toes if it was. even if it was a slug the hole would be a lot bigger

I am thinking that hole in the shoe may be from a 45 . Have seen afew people with one in their hand with the firearm ready to rock and their finger on the trigger .
