I finally ordered!!

Post by spiwonka »

I finally decided to order me a Phoenix package. I was torn between all of them, but for 565.00 shipped I had to take the Phoenix. I was a mess, because I could'nt decide between the Phoenix, Vortex, or exocet. Finally the price of the Phoenix won. I had great luck with the Rage three blade last year on a couple of deer and hogs with my PSE Dreamseason 73# 29" DL which was pushing a 400 grain axis arrow right at 298 fps. I believe I'm going to just use the excalibur carbon arrows and 125 grain broadheads for a start, but I also have several 100 grain rage three blades. Has anybody tried the Rage three blades or the G5 Montec 125 grain on the excaliber yet?? How id they shoot. Thank everyone for the info. I think it was the lmost time consuming decision I've ever made!!! I used to kill them with an old Mathews Ovation that was pushing a 400 grain arrow around 250 FPS. I think the Phoenix will do nicely for my hunting situation!!!

Thanks again,

Shane

I have used the 125 gr. G5 Montec successfully, no problems... there are plenty of good broadheads out there!

Good luck with your new crossbow. Phoenix is a nice bow. :D

I regularly shoot tree bows: Phoenix, Vortex and a fast compound. But I shoot the Phoenix the most. Good choice.

Was shooting the Phoenix, while my wife was reading on the deck last night.
There is a bag with a deer profile at 50 yards, "I said watch me hit the deer on the nose." Perfect, golf ball sized target at 50. To which she said: "Bet you can't do it again." Wrong, two arrows nearly touching. That's why I shoot the Phoenix most. Later on I tested the LumiZone in low light. Heard the arrows hit but will need to check where exactly this morning. :D

The bow you decided on was a great choice. Plenty of power and very accurate. Montec shoot well and so do the Slicks. one thing Id like to ask where's Louise,Tx. I'm from Helotes just a liitle west of San Antone.Give me a PM if you have any questions about these xbows. I've shot a Phoenix for three yrs now. Ronnie

Thanks everybody. I can't wait till I get it in my hands. I ordered a nylon padded case a few extra arrows and a extra string. Louise is between Houston and Victoria off of Highway 59 Hawghunter.
