Just back from Virginia. Here are a few pictures from the trip.
Saw these three bearded boys on a hiking trip. They would let us stay within 50 yards of them and never seemed too scared. There were four others that saw us and left in a hurry . . .
I got several pictures of them, but, these are probably the best.
Here is a fawn that was on the side of the road. Apparently, Mom had already crossed the road. This little guy kept trying to get around the fence and come toward me.
We were a week or so early for the blackberries . ..still got a few . ..

Thanks Wes . . .I was in Grayson County(Southwestern Virginia). The camera is a Cannon powershot S5. I does very well as long as you have good light conditions and a still subject.
Here's another of the same group. . .how many? There's actually three . . .I can only see two . . .the third is hiding there somewhere!

Here's a video clip of the fawn . . .it's a cutie . . ..it's only a five foot fence, so you can see it's a little tike. The video was also taken with the Cannon Powerchot S5. That's why I love the camera. However, I saw where the new Cannon SLR takes HD video . . .

CF . . .I have not seen that camera. 20X, that's awesome. I still want to get my hands on a good SLR . . .just trying to hold out until the best one comes out. However, it's like buying a computer, as soon as a great one hits the market, another great one hits the works. They are improving them go fast. I'll bite the bullet one day.
chessy . . .I too love those mountains. They are getting a LOT of retirees in the area. Better go ahead and buy some raw land ASAP. Smith Mountain Lake is super . . .retiring there would be sweet.
