New light..

Post by Pydpiper »

Got a little NightCore in the mail today, claims to be the smallest/brightest AA driven light out there, for now. 130 Lumen's. :D
It easily fits on a key chain, I included my keys in a picture for a size comparison.
I also took a size comparison between a 2xAA Maglight as well as my modified 2C Maglight.
For the beamshot comparison I used all new Duracell batteries in each light.

Side by side..

Beside the MiniMag 2AA:

Beside my daily work light, Maglight 2C, Modified (Custom LED upgrade, driver board, lens and reflector), this is an exceptionally bright Maglight, my keys too:

Here is a beamshot of that single battery keychain light beside the big Maglight, the Nightforce EZAA (turned on high) is on the left, my $200+ Mag is on the right. :D

Sure I will! I buy most of the lights I can from 4sevens (fenixstore), recently he added a Canadian supplier! I ordered this light on Monday, got it today. :D
Because the light is so small and lacks proper heat-sinking it tends to get warm, fast. Slips nicely in to a pocket though. All LEDs generate huge heat, my favourite Surefire hits 142 Degrees if left unattended.. :D Your hand will serve as a heat sink and keep everything just fine.
The price you see is shipped to your door.

Bring it to the cottage. I just might want to compare it to my PD30 at 220 lumens.

OK, I will.
It sits very close to the Olight medium setting. Difference being it is so darn small it isn't intimidating to carry.
4sevens won't list a lights output unless it has been verified to be accurate. The reflector is obviously small but very deep so I am looking forward to see what kind of throw it has.

How many green stamps does this one cost?
Around $50 US shipped Bob, not too bad..
Soon it will have the R2 that you are used to in it, then we will see a small lumen jump, likely around 160, almost unnoticeable to the eyes.

The TK20 is all I need.

I'd just as soon get caught wearing camouflage as to own a shoe box chock full of expensive yuppie flashlights! :D
Denial is the first stage Bob, remember this? Your yuppie collection is growing, even if you refuse to admit it. :D So, when are you ordering your camo thong? :P
bstout wrote:I'm a bit of a flashlight crazed person. I can't walk passed a wall of flashlights in a department store without stopping and staring for about five minutes or more. It really bugs the "Little Dove" when I do that. Maybe that's part of the pleasure! :D

Next I want super bright.
