excalibur firebolts vs easton power bolts

Post by michiganman »

today i tested out my broadheads, but i also tested out my firebolts with brass insert, and power bolts with brass inserts and blazer vanes..

i sighted them in at 20 yards, and also shot them at 40 yards.was shooting my exocet,at 306 fps average.
firebolts weighed in at 456 grains with stock vanes, and power bolts came in at 463 grains ,both with 100 grain heads.both shot great with both field tips, and rocket broadheads.

at 40 yards with my varizone scope both shor great, and my power bolts were almost touching .shot im groups of three, both great shooting bolts.

That is a very nice weight of bolt. I really like them around 430, but up to 530 is also very good. I would expect them to fly very close in accuracy, especially if fletched the same with brass at front.

Im pretty sure you can shoot a pencil good if you fletch it right :D

ive tried a few different styles and everyone has grouped great...

fletching plays a good role, but the shooter is a big factor also.

I will say that those 500grain bolts tend to fly straight on windy days :D

i was really happy the flight i had with the 3 different rocket heads, including the 125 grain 2" model.i use to shoot this through my bow at 70lbs,but when my shoulder went,im now a crossbow guy forever.

just wonder what the blazers would do if wind was up a little
