Doc's Bear

Post by Mike P »

I thought I would share a picture with you of my hunting partner and best friends bear he took this spring in Saskatchewan.

I thought about touching up the photo to get rid of the trickle of blood but decided against it.

Doc is really lobbying hard for me to go with him next year and do it again.

Great big bear! Either that or Doc is a little guy . . .I'll bet it's a big bear. :D

Congrats to you Doc!

Doc is like me, a pretty big guy. He is 6'2" and goes an easy 250 lbs. so you have an idea how big this bear is.

I am doing some backstrap from the bear on the smoker this weekend and having all the partners over at the house. I have no idea as to how it will turn out as I have never done bear before. We are also doing some alligator (Doc harvested it also) cajun style so we have some back up if the bear does not turn out well. I have prepared alligator many times and I know we will have success with the way I make it.
