200 lb excocet

Post by sits in trees »

is it common to see very slight wear on the barrel/track after maybe 200 shots or so.

it is very slight but has worn thru the finish/anodizing to the aluminum in spots, but has not worn the aluminum?

I agree . . .especially if it's on the inner track. Otherwise, it's NOT normal. I have no sign of wear on mine after thousands of shots.

If you are shooting Robinhoods, like Rich  , then keep a good eye on your nocks. Those near misses at Robinhoods will rough up your nocks.

I switched to plastic nocks . . .mainly because they are liter . . .now I can see another benefit to using the plastic.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

sorry about this one guy's but on closer inspection i discovered what was looking like wear was actually glue residue from my home fletched arrows that i was a little too liberal with the glue
i can scratch off the marks with my fingernail. the old eyes are not what they used to be....
