I've used WD-40 & compressed air to clean mine, but you have to be very careful with WD-40 it is not really synthetic friendly. I do not like to use much lube in the trigger, because it collects dust & dirt and results in that gritty pull. I usually spray some RemOil on it, then use compressed air to remove the excess.

Actually they are quite simple to take apart and reassemble. Remove the screws that hold tha plate on on side and gently lift the plate from housing. Clean to your hearts content and lube with silicone or Teflon spray.

It goes on wet and dries making the steel highly rust resistant and lubricated.

I does smells a bit untill it dries (a few days) so don't put it on and go deer hunting if you worry about sent.
