Scent cover recipe
Does anyone have the recipe for homemade scent cover?I know the ingredients...just don't remember the quantities.
This is what I had in mind. It's as good as store bought at a fraction of the price.
two 16 oz cups Hydrogen peroxide
two 16 oz cups distilled water
1/2 cup baking soda
1 oz unscented shampoo
mix in a gallon jug and let sit for several days with the lid loose to let the gases out.
pour into a spray bottle and your are all set.
you can also soak some plain brown paper towels and use them for wipes in the field

Been using this formula for years. Dispense mine from a spray bottle, bottom of my boots going into my stand, around the base of the tree if I'm climbing, on the bark of the tree and/or branches around me and simply into the air every once in awhile. Have no clue to whether it attracts deer or not but it makes me feel like I've at least done something to help cover/confuse my human scent.Kelley wrote:4oz doe pee, 4oz racoon pee, splash pure vanilla extract.
