That's pretty good. I know a couple of old farts that hunted quail with their recurves. . .and were successful.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
Perception trumps intention.

I know this was posted before but worth seeing again. This system can be incorporated into any crossbow by the right manufacturer.
Much easier than the guy in the previous video shooting flu-flu arrows.

Are you referring to me? lol

I used to have a ball hunting partridge with a recurve, but that was back when we had lots of pats too. And yes, I shot several, but most were sitting when I shot them.

That's called "taking them in the pre-flight position"
Works good with a handgun, too.

Pre-flight huh? Well, I recall it was fun and some darned good eating too. Now we only have a couple show up every year.

About 10 years ago I had a ball when a pat sort of adopted me! I could not go in the woods without this pat showing up. If I was on the atv, that bird would walk along side. If I sped up, so would it speed up. If I sat in a tree stand, that bird would fly up into the next tree and just sit there and watch. It was a blast. Naturally, I called it Patty.

It was funny one day when a friend came to hunt with me. The bird latched onto him. He said he couldn't go anywhere but what the bird would follow him. lol

I've never seen it done with a compound bow and sights... I know a couple of longbow shooters that do it... In fact, a friend of mine that builds longbows went on his first pheasant hunt a year ago and killed a rooster right out of the air on the first try... I thought that was pretty good but he then proceesed to do it four more times.... Then this last season he proceeded to miss 4 times at a doe at 18 yds... but to his excuse it was from a gun hunters treestand about 25 ft up and a most extreme angle... Something he never practiced before....
