Help Shipping to Canada

Post by exohuntr »

I have a gentleman from Canada that wants to purchase my Exocet200. However, I am in Alabama and he is in Canada. What is the easiest way to ship a crossbow quickly and get it through customs without having any trouble? Any help will be greatly appreciated...Exohuntr

If you can, break it down and pack it securely for shipping. Label the package archery parts. Ship it USPS Priority Post or some other, reasonable, USPS service depending on how much you or the buyer want to spend on shipping yet still get the xbow in a timely manner.

Do not use UPS or Purolator. Their brokerage services at the border are highway robbery.

Another option is if the buyer lives close to the border, you can send it to a UPS store on the American side of the border then the buyer can go pick it up there and bring it back himself. For instance, in South Eastern Ontario we sometimes use the UPS store in Ogdensburg NY for deliveries.

I ship all of my mounts through the USPS. There is a small but easy customs form to fill out. Being an expensive item I would get the insurance. You can not get tracking numbers for items going to Canada.
