You will never make everyone happy. This I know, I am married

I think crossbows only on the crossbow forum makes sense. This gives people incentive to take great pictures of crossbow harvests.

Good choice Chris!

chris4570 wrote:Well there seems to be a consensus leaning towards making this a crossbow only photo contest. Based upon this, crossbow only it is.

Not everyone will be happy with this desicion, not everyone would be happy with the other option.

It is what it is: a crossbow photo contest on a crossbow forum. Ta da!
I think more will be happy with this decision. No matter how we slice it a spectacular buck will look better which will be an advantage to those who rifle hunt.
Crossbows only will allow for a more even playing field. I am going to contribute a crossbow for the crossbow only best picture. The winner arranges and pays for shipping. If the winner is from Canada it will be shipped from The Bow Shop in Waterloo and from the US will of course be from Danny.
Chris, if you want to have a all methods category then I will donate a prize for that as well. Just a thought.

I had a post up a week or so ago stating that the groundounder mount I won last year has not been put to use. I will donate it to the youngest hunter in the photo contest.

Thanks to everyone who has offered up a prize.

So far we have: a crossbow, courtesy of Boo
custom bolts, courtesy of John
Slick Tricks, courtesy of Ecoaster
groundpounder mount, courtesy of Groundpounder
groundpounder mount, courtesy of Peach
camo swivel seat, courtesy of Planter
a "one of a kind" picture frame, courtesy of me

There may be one more prize coming. All great prizes!!!I don't think there needs to be any more.

I'll have to figure out what places get what prizes. If it is ok with you guys that are donating prizes, perhaps a couple prizes could be doubled up ie; bolts and slick tricks would make a great second place prize.

You are the Man running it, so you decide how to allocate the prizes. However "first" should be the bow I believe, and after that if you think doubling up is a good idea, I'm with you. :)
A set of Custom Bolts with Slicks to go with it, would be one Sweet Prize!!
