My STS rod needs to be trimed the STS sets to deep into the string. How much should I trim the STS rod???

I had the same problem and trimmed mine till the back of the rubber touches the block,I measured from rubber to block and it came to approx,1/4" you have a little to play with with lock screw,,,hope this helps!!

Rather than cutting my post I picked up a 3/8" diam. Aluminum rod from Lowes and cut myself new posts. No worries about cutting to short and much easier than trying to trim off a small amount from the original posts.

like above i cut mine down so the stoper is against the block,and thats about were i want my brace heigth.you want rod in block all the way,and also in the stopper all the way,or you will split it.mine was about a 1/4" off,JIM
