The smell will fade. Leave the boots outside between now and the opener. When I'm deer hunting I'm most often wearing those green felt lined rubber boots from Canadian Tire. I've watched deer walk right up my tracks and even sniff my tree steps without spooking.

Heading out to the bush in preparation for tomorrows moose bow hunt and you guys made a decision for me. I was thinking my black Cadillac army boots but now will opt for the green sheep boots with the liners. I was unaware about sent in leather or cloth. Rubbers work for me.

How 'bout 1/2 mile. Could that work too?B-Logger wrote:When I buy a new pair of boots, the first thing I do is head back to the creek and go for about a mile walk in the water and mud. After that all is well.
