I just got my bow with firebolts and redid them saturday. What a pain getting the epoxy out from the back end in order to get the firenocks in; but I love to shoot the lighted nocks. I wouldn't buy an arrow with that flat nock again.
Anyway what I came up with is shooting ok, around 390 grains.
New to the forum and the Xbow world. Took delivery on a new Vortex I have been eyeing for a while. On the issue of total bolt weight with broadhead....I purchased the Right Stuff Scope Pckg so I have the 150grain boltcutters with the CF shafts.
Went to BassProShops the other day to look at broadheads and have been online looking at Cabelas....not many 150gr broadheads out there. Also noticed some of you are using 100grain broadheads. So are the brass inserts providing the extra weight to get to the 350grain minimum? If so, can someone provide me a link? Cabelas sell 'em?
Also...I watched the Uncle Teds Tip Youtube where he puts Limbsaver String Leeches and the other type on the limbs of the Xbow. I put string leaches on mine, however they have caused the string the separate for a distance great than the leech itself. Is this OK?
Last question...Saxman...your bolts have much smaller fletching...whats the benefit/trade-off to those vs traditional/longer fletching?

Thanks and everyone have a bloody Fall.
The brass inserts weigh 110 gr, the alum weigh 32 gr [old Gt's] Current Gt's w/ 100 gr points weigh 408 gr from Danny Miller in USA.
If you are in USA, you can get inserts from Danny at [740] 483-2312, about 2 bits a pop. Think NAP makes a 170 gr expandible, but don't use them and am not sure.
