as well as the hand crank for cocking, excal makes a rope cocking aid which provides 2:1 leverage. You only need to be able to pull 87.5 pounds to cock a 175 pound bow. This device also lets you do all the pulling with one arm. Not sure how "trashed" your arm is, but this might work for you. If not, the crack cocking aid would still work for you.
