New Exocet came today
Im pumped, my new crossbow came today! I wish they had included some string wax in the package, mine is at the deer lease. Hahaha. Are the firebolts supposed to have nocks are just treaded holes? Probably a dumb question, but I honestly dont know. Seems a little loud, but Im used to a recurve bow, Im sure Ill get used to it. I cant wait to hunt with it this weekend, wish me luck!

Yeah, I only got to shoot it about a dozen times before it got dark. I will try it out again tomorrow evening. I will have to use 100 grain G5 Montec broadheads on it this weekend until my Boltcutters and 2219s come in. Do you think there will be much adjustment necessary? Also, GroundPounder, I plan on getting one of your mounts as soon as the wife gets over me spending the dough on the crossbow. Hahaha. Do you still make them?

Welcome to the Family The noise will not matter once you scope in on a Deer at 15 or 20 yards and squeeze the trigger it will be all over for the animal!! Good Luck this weekend waiting to read your story and see the pictures of that first crossbow kill

Hey, that's great!
Got an Exocet for my 65th BD just this past August and my first deer with the bow just 2-3 weeks Love the bow but yes it is noisy especially compared to my Bob Lee longbow but I knew that would be the case. On my out of State hunting trip I simply used the packing box, along with some foam, for a bow case. Only the quiver did not fit. Once dialed in the Exocet is incredibly accurate especially if rested on something like a bi-pod. Shot my deer offhand at ~32 yards with no problem using the ZariZone scope but IMHO open sights will serve you well out to 40 yards.
ENJOY!!!
Take care...

Great taste in bows , Excalibur went out of their way to make a very special bow for their favorite consumers, they named it, "Exocet", you did very well for yourself.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
