:?: I can remember seeing a chart that listed minimun KE needed for pass thru on different game animals. ie deer,elk,moose, bear ect. anyone have any info
time in the woods is time well spent

Toughest Game (cape buffalo, grizzly, musk ox, etc.)

I seem to recall 40 fl lbs for white tail.

Below you will find a list of recommended crossbow arrow kinetic energies needed for various game animals using a good fixed blade broadhead.



20 - 25 Foot Pounds for: Small Game
25 - 41 Foot Pounds for: Medium Game such as, Deer and Antelope.
42 - 65 Foot Pounds for: Large Game such as Elk, Black Bear and Wild Boar.
65 - 70 Foot Pounds for: Toughest Game such as Cape Buffalo and Grizzly.
